Earn Extra Income - Buy Your Friends Unwanted Gold and Silver and Cash In for Profit Immediately

Bills.. taxes.. unexpected medical expenses?  Upcoming Holidays got you in a financial pinch? Why not invest a small amount of time and money for what could become an additional stream of income for you and your family, for life? The Gold Academy can show you how.

We're talking about buying and selling precious metals.... it's not complicated and this opportunity has been right under your nose all along.  You just need to become educated about it.  It's not rocket science and only takes a few hours with the right teacher and hands-on experience, to learn how.

Listen.. ...buying and selling precious metals is one of the few, "sure thing" markets where you can make money, right away. Whether you're in school, employed full time, own your own business, retired, or travel a lot and don't spend a lot of time in one place.... this is education that you can take world-wide and make it profitable for you. Think it sounds too good to be true?  It's not....you can do it.

Precious metals.....gold, silver and platinum.... found in jewelry, sterling silver, gold fillings and some other items you may have never thought of, are among the few things that hold a solid value when other investments, fall by the way side... these days you can't even count on the value of the almighty dollar!

Where do you find customers?  Everyone who has some items made of precious metals at home is your potential customer. And lots of people need and want other things but don't want to spend their cash..... however, they may want to cash in their unwanted, unused or outdated gold, silver and platinum jewelry, so they can do something else with the money, that they need more.

You can be the go-to person....the expert that can evaluate their precious metal items, offer them a competitive price and turn around and sell those items to the refinery, where they will be melted down and you will be paid a profit, right away.... only if you are a trained professional in the business.

This is a great business! People are usually very happy with the price they are paid for their pile of stuff that's just been sitting around.  And oftentimes, the value of gold has probably gone way up, since they bought those items. They get paid.....they smile.....and you get paid well for your time and smile all the way to the bank.  It's a win-win situation!

If you can invest two days for training, no matter where you are in your walk of life.... this is an opportunity not to be missed.  And guess what?  You probably have enough scrap /broken/unused jewelry, sterling flatware and coins etc. to fund your own training.  Gold Academy class and business start-up! Check out our web-site at The Gold Academy for more detailed information on classes, or call us : Bob Levy- 770-335-5996  or Debbie Vaughn 404-552-0616. Towns County Food Pantry Fundraiser Held at The Gold Academy

In photo, from left to right are: Bob Levy, owner of  The Gold Academy, Robert Budesa Co-coordinator of Towns Food Pantry, Vickie Levy co-owner of The Gold Academy, Don and Janice Minnette, musicians, Tim Rose, Talk Show host/Mgr WJUL Radio, Debbie Vaughn, Co-owner of The Gold Academy.

A fundraiser was held for the Towns County Food Pantry at The Gold Academy and Art of Gold Gallery on Sunday, October 28th from 4:00 – 7:00pm.

The Log Cabin that houses The Gold Academy and Art of Gold Gallery is a beautiful place to have a fundraising event.  The participants mingled on Sunday, as they bidded on the many items donated for the silent auction and viewed the fine art displayed in the Art of Gold Gallery. The food and beverage, including wine and cheese provided by The Gold Academy, along with the live music by Don and Janice Minette were enjoyed by all. Everything was donated and there was no admission charge.

Says Robert Budesa with The Towns Food Pantry, “With every $1.00 raised, we have $5 purchasing power, at the retail level, to buy food.  We regularly feed more than 375 families and are now gearing up to provide food for approximately 600 families over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.  Other donated items besides food are appreciated too, such as paper goods..... especially toilet paper, since that is something we can not purchase at a good price.

Among the many items donated for the silent auction, were a women’s tote bag with scarf and a gift certificate valued at $65 from The Clothes Rack and a gift basket valued at $100 donated by The Country Store, both located at Victoria’s Center in Blairsville.  There was also a $25 gift certificate from Dress For Less in Young Harris and a $20 gift certificate donated by The Sunnyside Cafe in Hiawassee.

Three great packages were donated for the  raffle, which is still open.  The public can continue to purchase tickets until November 18th, either at The Gold Academy or The Towns County Food Pantry.  $5 buys one chance or $10 buys 5 chances to win. The packages are as follows:

#1 Romance Package - a value of over $200.00 with a one night stay at The Ridges Resort & Marina, Dinner for Two at The Oaks on Lake Chatuge, a Bottle of Chatuga Red Wine from Hightower Creek Vineyards and Herbal Tea Blends from the Chamomile Retreat in Ellijay.

#2 Leisure Morning Package - Breakfast for Two at Mary’s Southern Grill, a $30 Gift Certificate by Slate Salon & Spa and a bottle of Da Vinci Chianti Red Wine donated by  VanKeith Insurance Co.

#3 Leisure Morning Package - Breakfast for Two at Mary’s Southern Grill, a Pedicure
by Samantha Wright and a bottle of Two Vines Riesling  from VanKeith Insurance Co.

The Gold Academy is also extending the offer to make a donation whenever gold or silver is brought to the Gold Academy for sale and The Towns Food Pantry is mentioned, until November 18th.

The Gold Academy has held fundraisers for the last two months; for The Family Connection in September and The Food Pantry of Towns County in October. Their next Fundraiser will be for SAFE on November 18th, which provides shelter and other services for victims of Domestic Violence. They also have plans to help the Sherriff's Empty Stocking Fund, in December.

Members of The Gold Academy’s fundraising committee are Candice Lee of the Towns County Chamber, Amy Gibby-Rosser with the Family Connection of Towns County, Tim Rose, morning talk show host, with WJUL Radio and the co-owners of The Gold Academy, Bob and Vickie Levy and Debbie Vaughn.

Says Vickie, "There is no admission charge for our fundraising events and people really do have a good time with all the food and entertainment.  Some of the money raised comes from all the items and services donated for the Silent Auction and Raffle, by our generous business community, and he rest comes from people bringing in their unwanted gold and silver items to sell to The Gold Academy."

"We really do appreciate everyone that came out to support The Food Pantry, said Debbie, co-owner of The Gold Academy, There is a lot of competition for people's time, with so many things to do in our area, not to mention Sunday Football! Everyone who contributed should know that they really did something important and it’s not too late for the people who didn’t make it.  They can still come and buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of these great prizes, or bring their gold or silver to sell until November 18th.  They can go home with their cash and The Gold Academy will make a donation of 25% of the amount, in their name.

Donated non-perishable foods and paper items, toiletries, etc. For the Towns Food Pantry can dropped off at The Gold Academy.  Foods and other items must be in closed packaging or cans only, please.

The Gold Academy and Art of Gold Gallery is located at 5010 US Hwy 76 in Young Harris, GA, just Northeast of Brasstown Valley Resort.

A UNIQUE FUNDRAISING CONCEPT AT THE GOLD ACADEMY - BUYING PRECIOUS METALS

What a concept right? Well, we want to show you how it works!  If you know of a cause that you are passionate about and that people are willing to support, we are here to help.

With at least a dozen or more participants, substantial amounts of cash can be raised in just a few short hours. For instance, if you would like to to help raise funds for a school, sports club, band, church, or any civic group, our service works great.... and even better if coupled alongside another function such as a silent auction, raffle, or any other event that will bring people out to help a cause.

At your fundraising event, The Gold Academy will set up a station to test and purchase any gold, silver, and coins brought in and will pay top dollar in cash on the spot, for the value of the precious metal content and participants can either leave with their cash or spend some of it on other fundraising activities at the event. At the end of the day, The Gold Academy will total the amount of all of the purchases made and give a 25% donation to the cause. How wonderful is that?

The possiblities are endless! The Gold Academy will use our location, at no cost for the event, or we will set up at your location if you prefer, also at no cost for our services and we are equiped to handle any size group.

Last month, The Gold Academy had the honor of working with The Family Connection of Towns County, which helps the children of low-income families with school supplies, clothing, shoes and other needed items.

During the month of October we are working with the Towns County Food Pantry to raise money for needy families to have enough food to make it through the holidays.

Helping our community has become the heart and soul of WHY we do what we do.  Gold Fundraisers, as we call them, are a win-win situation for all concerned.

The Gold Academy would like to thank Amy Gibby-Rosser of The Towns County Family Connection, Candice Lee of the Towns County Chamber of Commerce and Tim Rose of WJUL Radio, for their efforts and contributions that helped to make the fundraiser for Family Connections a success, last month. To our local business community which unselfishly donates items for our silent auctions and raffles, a special "Thank You" for supporting the cause, as the children of our community should never be overlooked. We also want to express our appreciation for The Towns County Herald and The North Georgia News for covering our fundraising events.

If you have questions or if we can help your cause in any way, please contact us to book your fundraiser.  And please attend out our next fundraising event for the Towns County Food Pantry on Sunday, October 28th from 4:00-7:00 PM. While you are here, you will enjoy refreshments, music and brouse our Art of Gold Gallery, which supports local artists.  Bid on silent auction items, purchase a raffle ticket for an awesome gift basket or romance package and help to feed some families in need, during this holiday season.

Don't have unwanted gold or silver? Bring non-perishable food donations or paper products, as these items are also helpful to low-income familys. Remember... THE GOOD YOU DO, COMES BACK TO YOU!

Peace and Love,

Debbie Vaughn

Buying Gold & Precious Metals That's A Win Win For Everyone!

Gold and Silver are "up" in value right now and the market is flooded with "Gold buyers" on every corner and all forms of social media. Some even want you to mail your precious metals to them, I personally would never mail gold for obvious reasons. So, that being said; it is only natural to wonder.." What do I do with broken or unwanted items that I want to sell?" Who can I trust, and how do I get the best price? I hope that I can shed some light on the subject, as there are many variables involved . If you read the information in the last BLOG, I gave you some tips on identifing precious metals, so you should have a reasonable idea as to what you have; although you really do need a professional to make sure( hence the reason I don't recommend mailing). When selling your Gold and Silver jewelry for the weight of the precious metal value, you should have the option to keep your precious or semi precious stones. It is common practice for "pawn shops" to give you the price of just the metal weight, not considering the stone value, so money can be made when they re-sale your item at their retail price, which is MUCH higher than the price they will pay you for it! For instance, The Gold Academy will return your stones to you, and pay the highest daily going rate, on the spot, and we don't re-sale your jewelry, it goes to the refinery for melt and is re-cycled back into the industry.Keep in mind that the price of Gold and Silver is ever changing, so you should reasearch the  current price the day that you sell, so you will have a good idea of what your return should be. It's always good to at least have a ball-park figure in your head as you "shop it around". At Gold Academy we have a mind set to not only make a small profit; but to inform, and to help out as many people as we can in the process. Gold Academy has an excellent way to accomplish our goal and that is not only with our school, but our track record of bringing fundraising a whole new concept. If you have a worthy cause, or are involved with a charity or non-profit group, please visit our web-site now at : The Gold Academy and read our next blog for detailed information about our fundraisers and how easy it is to raise several thousand dollars in just 2-3 hours. No joke. We are currently booking fundraisers through December, so if you have an urgent need, call us at : 706-379-9909 office     Debbie : 404-552-0616   Bob : 770-335-5996.   Thank you so much for your intrest, and have a blessed day!

Golden Opportunities for Buying & Selling Precious Metals

At The Gold Academy we are used to answering a lot of questions about the gold business, but one in particular is "where can you find gold, silver, and coins?" .Well I can tell you that by starting at your own home can be very rewarding. You can almost always find that single earring, broken chain, high school ring, out of fashion item that you'll never wear again, or your children wouldn't consider ! I have passed over things that I thought were of no value, to find out later that they were indeed a precious metal, and was worth much more than I had anticipated. Outside of just plain panning for gold (which can be lucretive also), another great idea is to purchase a jewelers loop to keep on hand, you can find the style that hooks onto your key ring,so you will be able to spot certain markings on jewelry and silver items. Make it routine to stop at yard  and  Estate sales, flea markets and the like.. it's just like a box of choclates.. you never know what you might find! When it comes to coins, there are a lot of variables involved, but guess what; there's an app for that! Now moving on, I suppose you would like to know what to look for on gold and silver, so take note. When you are looking at jewelry, you want to make sure it is marked 10k, 14k, 18k (k stands for karat). Stay away from items marked GF , or HGE , which means gold filled or heavy gold electroplated. If you are looking at silver items, look for the numbers 925, .999, or sterling. If you run across sterling teasets, candelabras etc. , keep in mind that some things could be weighted with anything from cement to other metals; mostly taller items , to keep them from tipping over, so that WILL effect how much you could get paid for the item if you wanted to sell it.Well that is your crash- course in finding precious metals 101 for those of you that might be interested in turning fun into profit! Just remember that these are just beginer's basic tips and information and if you have items that are in question, bring them by and we will test them for you and let you know their value, of course there is no obligation for you to sell, ever. So, happy hunting everyone and tune in next time for more behind the scenes at The Gold Academy! If you have questions about gold, silver and coins, just post them on the blog and we will give you an answer that everyone can benefit from. Thanks for visiting our blog and have a blessed and profitable day!  Bob, Debbie and our resident rescue cat                                      "Precious Metals".

Kitty "Precious Metals" scares away "Bearanoia" a Black Bear at The Gold Academy

We are proud to announce that there is no lack of security at THE GOLD ACADEMY, due to the fierce protection of our in-house, feline crimestopper, "Precious Metals". Terroristic termoil was diverted last week, by our new rescue kitty, when he leaped into action and scared away a 200 pound black bear, that ventured up onto our porch!  Upon coming face-to-face with "Precious Metals", the bear was so surprised by the growling, hissing and spitting that in just a few seconds he ran back to where he came from..... and we saw it all on our security cameras! In between our gold testing classes and daily purchasing of gold, silver, platinum, and coins, we no longer worry about a breach in security, as "Precious Metals" has developed a new profession at The Gold Academy .... and now has an additional stream of revenue, (into his food bowl that is!).  We see salmon in his future! Some days are diamonds, some days are gold, some days are just fun! Drop by if you are in the area.... you never know what might be going on at The Gold Academy!

Learn to Buy Gold in a Private Session at The Gold Academy

On Friday, August 3rd, a private session at The Gold Academy , was in full swing.  Bob Levy, owner and trainer makes the process a very interesting endeavor, indeed. Never a dull moment!

The father and son team, who took the class a few weeks ago enjoyed their experience so much that they requested a private session for their wife/mother and reviewed the class along with her.  Bob makes the class so comfortable and interesting, that the three couldn't wait to get in their seats.  Laughter filled the room as they practiced their hands-on training, learning to buy precious metals and making plans for their new business!

After class, we all enjoyed a great dinner at Brother's at Willow Ranch , restaurant. We just can't say enough about the food, service and atmosphere! (We just want to kiss the chef!)

Thanks for visiting our blog.....we hope you will join and comment.....give us your feedback and tell us what you want to hear/learn about and we'll be happy to write about it!

Welcome to a Day in the Life of The Gold Academy!

Welcome to our Blog # 1 from The Gold Academy !

Today August 1st, 2012 we met with other business owners from several surrounding counties, invited to the Customer Appreciation Luncheon at Brothers Restaurant in Young Harris, hosted by WJUL 97.5 Radio owner, Jeff Batten and General Manager and radio personality, Tim Rose.

By the way, if you haven't yet heard the radio show "Good Morning Lake Chatuge" hosted by "The Voice of Lake Chatuge", Tim Rose, you are really missing out, if you want to be the first to know about all the wonderful events happening in our four county mountain area - Towns, Union, Habersham  (in GA) and Clay County  (in NC).  Just tune into Tim's show Mon - Thurs, live 8-9:00am, and you will be hooked.....if you are not already!

Maybe we've been living in the dark ages, but we WJUL 97.5 addicts were recently delighted to discover that we can listen to the show, no matter where we are, by streaming in on the app, Tunein Radio, from our computer, or smart phone!

Anyway, at  the luncheon today.... The Gold Academy  had a great opportunity to share information with other entrepreneurs about our precious-metals school, which recently relocated here in the beautiful, North Georgia mountain area.  We explained how The Gold Academy is helping other business owners to create an additional revenue stream by learning to buy gold silver and platinum.  Students not only learn how to test and assess the value of gold and other precious metals, but also how to make a business of hosting fundraisers and Gold Parties to help others raise money for charities, mission trips, booster clubs and non-profit organizations, etc.

Be sure to watch for tomorrow's blog and we'll tell you all about our lastest class adventure.

For more information, see our website at www.thegoldacademy.org .
